How Green Are You?

Hello everybody, this time I'm going to talk about how to take care of the environment, and my contribution to make it happen.
Since I was little, my parents I have taught to take care of the environment, through small actions that can make the difference for example, not littering in the street or natural places, caring for the water and electricity, teaching me to respect nature and recycling.
I have incorporated recycling in my life, but in a different way, instead of separate types of garbage, I try to produce the least amount of garbage as possible, since my house does not pass the truck of recycling, only the truck collecting garbage. As said it earlier, I try to produce the least amount of garbage as possible, I use returnable containers, reused my notebooks, I will buy with cloth bags and make organic fertilizer with shells of fruits and vegetables, for my plants.
I'd like to be able to move my bike, but my house is too far from the University, also gives me fear that I can be run over. I use the subway, the good thing about this is that it is electric and does not pollute. I like running, but I don't do it for move to some place, I do it for fun.
I have never joined any environmental organization, but I agree with everything related to caring for the environment. I have lately taken conscience about my carbon footprint and my family, and we are trying to reduce it to the maximum, avoiding consumerism and preferring local and season fruits and vegetables.
In my opinion, in Santiago and Chile, missing public policies and advertising campaigns that encourage care for the environment, since this is a problem that affects us all, and all are responsible for solving it.
Thanks for reading, anywhere you go, just let your footsteps (no waste).
